Daniel J Song

Hello! My name is Daniel Song. I am a 4th-year undergraduate student at the University of California, Irvine. I study Computer Science with a specialization in Intelligent systems.

My research interests lie within the intersection of computer vision, graphics, and machine learning. More specifically, my interests revolve around neural rendering, novel view synthesis, 3D reconstruction, and 3D generative models. With the broad goal of simplifying the process of creating explorable scenes and lifting images and ideas to the third or fourth dimension, I aim to pursue a PhD.

I am currently working with Professor Berg at the UCI Computer Vision group. My previous affiliations include the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2) lab and the Teaching and Learning in Computing (TLC) lab.

Beyond academics, my hobbies include playing the piano, guitar, and creating my own games without using a game engine.
